Payroll Flow

The Payroll Deductions flow enables your organization to retrieve benefit cost deduction data from Wellhub so it can be applied during your regular payroll processing cycle.

When employees choose and enroll in a Wellhub plan, they may pay the monthly subscription fee via payroll deduction. For payroll deductions, Wellhub provides monthly deduction data containing specific information for each charge an employee is responsible for covering in that period.

What Are Payroll Deductions?

When employees use Wellhub and their benefit plan includes a co-payment or employee contribution, Wellhub calculates the amounts to be deducted from each employee's paycheck. These amounts are made available to your organization through the payroll deductions flow so they can be applied during payroll processing.

Deduction Cycle Frequency

Deduction data is generated and made available at the same time the company invoice is issued, on a monthly basis. The most recent billing cycle's data replaces the previous one each month.

Deduction Data

The deductions report contains one row per employee with fields reflecting the employee data shared at eligibility (Name, Email, Employee ID, Department, Cost Center, Office ZIP Code, Payroll ID) plus the amount due in local currency. Note on multiple charges

Because of the flexibility provided to make changes to plans, there may be more than one charge per employee in a billing period. Deduction data sums the amounts for each employee into a single line and single deduction amount.
